Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. (DFA), is the largest dairy co-operative in the United States and the largest marketer of fluid milk in the world. DFA markets 47.8 billion pounds of milk, constituting 28.2 percent of the total US milk production (2005). Additionally, the company operates 27 manufacturing plants that produce a wide range of dairy products and generates $6.4 billion in sales (2005).
