The friendly community of
Clovis, New Mexico

Clovis, New Mexico, is peacefully located on the scenic high plains of eastern New Mexico. Nestled in the heart of cattle country, Clovis contains some of the most productive ranching and dairy farmland in the state. The railroad and near-by Cannon Air Force Base also contribute to the community's growing economy.

The City of Clovis is the retail and service hub for the surrounding area. Our downtown area features museums, theaters, great restaurants, murals, and a variety of shopping. An original cobblestone street is a reminder of earlier pioneer days, and the landmark Hotel Clovis stands beckoning travelers off the busy highway.

A great school system challenges our junior residents in fifteen elementary schools, four junior high schools and two high schools. Clovis Community College also offers a variety of productive programs in vocational and industrial careers.

Clovis' consistently-temperate climate is hard-to-beat. With mild daytime temperatures, low humidity, lots of sunshine and few rainy days, our community is an ideal location for a variety of recreational activities. Seventeen parks offer a variety of outdoor sporting facilities, and the Roy Walker Recreation Center is filled with an assortment of indoor activities.

Truly the heart of eastern New Mexico, the exceptional quality of life and friendly people of Clovis have made our community a special place to live.
